First International Symposium on Global Information Governance 2008
March 13 - 14, 2008, Pisa, Italy
As governance, risk and compliance requirements mushroom across the globe, so do theories and technology solutions to manage them. Too often those have been based on overly simplistic views of the business and supporting IT environments, and have resulted in practices that are so rigid they impede growth. Using recent case studies, Jacob Lamm will explore the real and oftentimes unexpected governance challenges faced by international enterprises today, and how conventional management best practices are failing them. A new approach to governance is required--one that both takes a more holistic view of governance across the enterprise, and enables the business to better understand and balance compliance and risk. But, how do Academia, Government and Business work together to achieve this goal?
